September 29, 2009

I am going to be on the homeless. People should all have a home. Homelessness is a big issue and there should be some way that everyone can have a home.

Topic for video

September 29, 2009

For my video i am going to do gangs because i think more innocent people get hurt in gang wars than actual gang members. Drive by shooting and gang wars are things that should not be happening. People are getting hurt and dying and it needs to stop, we all need to coexist peacefully.

David After Dentist Response.!.!.!.!.

September 29, 2009

Around the world this kid is know as “David after Dentist”, it was supposed to be entertainment at first but now it might just ruin his life. He will never really been david again because everybody knows who he is. I think in a way people are using him, his dad maybe, to make a profit off of what was just supposed to be for entertainment but it was blown out of proportion. Because of this video this kid might never have a normal life again. With his face on T-shirts and all over the world wide web he is famous for something that could really embarrass him.

Waiting on the world to change

September 29, 2009
The song ” Waiting on the world to change” by John Mayer is about how the world is not a very good place somtimes and how they want to change it but one person usually doesn’t have the power. We should all try to do something to change the world and making it a better place. We are all waiting for the world to be a better place and some one has to stand up and change it.
With the lyrics in front of mei could see that this song is about how the people in this world aren’t doing enough to help it. Onie day it’s going to impact us, the people that are going to war and not helping to stop pollution and it’s going to be a disaster.

Watching the music video i noticed that people all have different ways of speaking up and standing out. They send there message through what they are best at no matter what itr is. This music video has things in it that stand for a big picture, drugs and graffiti stand for illegal things and how people aren’t following the rules.

2.Over the last 20 years parents and some religious groups have been campaigning to limit messages that are put in songs because they think they have been corrupting kids. 5.When they did this, they wanted record companies to put labels on records with explicit language, but there were no standards so they didn’t know what to put labels on so is was truly up to the parents. 1.They put hundreds of labels on each year but this only stopped the parents from buying them, the kids still purchased the daily. 4.Starting decades ago music has been blamed for making kids want to commit suicide because people have been said to commit suicide while listening to certain song about death.3.Daily music has a negative affect on people but it is not the main cause for kids actions, these kinds of actions come from life changing issues not just songs. 11.Yesterday, today, and tomorrow all kids were and will be exposed to explicit language everywhere and there is only so much a parent can do, which is why concerns are growing, educate you kids. The lyrics won’t effect kids if they are taught right from wrong they will know that the stuff in the songs is wrong and they should not do it, honestly parents have the biggest influence on kids, not music.

Personally i think music will only influence teens that aren’t capable of telling right from wrong. Over the last few decades religious groups and parents have been believing thatteenagers are acting the way they are because of the music they are listening to. Major actions performed by a kid are not results of music but of bigger things in there life. I don’t think music has anything to do with the way people act. It may change the way you talk, but the way you think and act are much bigger than slightly impacting song lyrics and the things you here people do in songs. 3305275656_18137ee72b

Is Music The Devil?

Our Powerpoint Analysis

September 22, 2009

5. While we were working on our project i noticed that our group did not always work well together sometimes kids in our group were to controlling and sometimes the layed back kids didn’t do the work that they were supposed to do.2. Over the period of time that we worked on it our group satarted to pull it’s self together and in the end, surprisingly, we got our projet done.6. Our project turned out fine.1. We chose our categories by age which i think is best because to choose them by how good you think they are isn’t fair because different people like different things.4. Starting with our next project i think i would probably say that more people should contribute to the ideas for what to do for our project.

Public Outbursts

September 21, 2009

What is your opinion of Kanye’s Outburst? What are some guidelines for appropriate public behavior? When and how is it appropriate to express your disagreement with someone? (Think about PDA, outbursts, etc). Include a set of guidelines for people like Kanye and Serena and the senator who shouted at Obama. Has our society hit rock bottom in terms of civility?

2.Around the world i think people are getting more rude, insensitive, and embarrassing because of loud outbursts. Since i saw what happened I think what Kanye West did was unbelievably rude. He did not need to do it and i don’t know why anyone would do such a thing. Personally i think people should be able to speak their minds but not like that. If it is rude they can do it privately or ot do it at all. If it is polite then it is okay to do it in public. I think our society is getting worse and worse with people doing rude things to others in public but i think it could get way worse, we have not hit rock bottom… yet. People should think more before they act things like yelling at people or showing PDA because this is just rude to everyone around you. If you want to do things like that which should not be done in pubic, do it in private away from people that don’t want to see or hear it. I don’t think there should be a punishment but a think the embarrassment is enough for them to go through.6. No body likes it. 4. Seeing how people are acting in public, as rude inconsiderate people, i think there should be some guidelines, i think people should be able to speak there minds in public as long as it will not offend people or disrupt what is going on.1.   PDA on the other hand just should not be

video ratings

September 16, 2009

I agree with all of the ratings except for “Everyone” and ” Adult”  i think having mild violence in a children’s game could be bad. I think it should rated for like 8 and up because if little five years old see some get hurt the might not like it. I think the adult one is over rated. It should be for 16 and up instead because most kids by that age have already played games or watched movies with violence or sexual content. i think the rating is wise but i think it could be lowered a little.

cell phone ban

September 16, 2009

2.Over time people cell phones have become more popular, because of this there is a debate on wether or not cell phones should be allowed in schools. 3.Lately administration has found that cell phones have been disrupting classes and they are making prohibitive policies which do not allow phones in class.1.Parents and children can connect, although they might not need it in emergencies children can call 911. 4.Allowing cell phones is okay if they are silenced or off in the classroom, they should not be put quietly on so that people can here it but the teachers can’t, they are fine in the appropriate places. 6.Phones are convenient among families. 5. As easy as it may seams, students casually “forget” to turn there phones off in class and they become loud and disruptive. 7.Silenced phones can also be used to cheat on exams because they are like passing notes.8.Other then that the choice on wether or not children should be allowed to bring cell phones to school is up to the parent because there is little enforcement short of completely banning them.
